On 31 January 2020, the United Kingdom formally withdrew from the EU, and in the 11 months that followed, the London Government could and should redefine the rules of relations with the remaining Member States.
This temporal element is important because it places detachment in a new phase of transition in which England in 2020 will have to put in place new rules. As things stand, trade relations with Europe are likely to remain as they are today and any changes will only take effect from 2022 onwards.
In this scenario, without clear rules on tariffs, commercial exchanges, recruitment of post exit personnel, companies that over the years have opened production and legal offices directly in the UK, also evaluate the transfer.
